Breaking Records at St. Paschal Baylon Church

 
The advertising executives on Madison Avenue say “Never launch a new product in August” but I guess that’s because they’ve never kicked off a BIG sales campaign at St. Paschal Baylon Church in Thousand Oaks, CA.

This weekend Laugh-A-Long Books set up shop outside St. Paschal Baylon Church with boxes of Today I Found God hoping to sell a few books to local church members–  Boy did we under-estimate the amazing interest in our book.  We were absolutely blown away by the huge turnout of enthusiastic parishioners who lined up to buy autographed copies of Today I Found God.

Father Dave, along with Father Joe, Father Thai, and Father Jim all endorsed Today I Found God at Mass and praised the book’s inspirational message of God’s presence in our hearts.   Their heartfelt words were all that was needed to persuade people to go check out the book for themselves.  We were soon overwhelmed by the crowds.

The first book we sold was to a happy young family with three children.  I will never forget how excited their kids were when they opened a book and saw the action-packed illustrations.  They started laughing immediately, and the youngest boy started to jump up and down as he shouted, “Look at the monkey!  Look at the monkey!”  It felt good knowing these kids would want to hear this story over and over, and each time they read it, they would be reminded that God is always with them.

But I didn’t have time to revel in the moment for long—because a long stream of people began to flood out of church and line up at our sales table. We were blessed to be able to meet all these incredible families.   The warmth and support everyone so willingly and generously gave our ministry was humbling and uplifting.   We cannot express our gratitude enough.   I truly was honored to autograph each book…

And speaking of autographing copies of the books– who knew there were so many ways to spell Ashley? Or is it Ashleigh? How about Ashly?  Or is it Ashlee?… Anyway– the point is: God made everyone wonderfully different and we are pleased we got to meet so many phenomenal people who share our intense love for God and want to pass it on to the younger generation.

I’m happy to report that it was not just local church members who bought the book—visiting families from Michigan, Florida, and South Carolina also bought copies and were eager to share Today I Found God with the local churches in their own home States.  Hopefully the word will spread quickly that Today I Found God is a great Christian children’s book that belongs in every faith-filled home.

Thank you St. Paschal Baylon—Thank you Fathers Dave, Joe, Thai, and Jim and thank you precious Church Family.  You made the launch of Today I Found God a tremendous success!!!   We hope that God speaks to you and your family through this little book and fills you all with peace and joy.  But especially, we want to say, “Thank You Father, Son, and Holy Ghost- all the glory is Yours.”
